UPAYA MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA DALAM PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA PADA MATERI KELILING DAN LUAS LINGKARAN MELALUI METODE MAKE A MATCH DI KELAS V SD PERMATA NUSANTARA KECAMATAN NONGSA
Based on data from preliminary observations made on fifth grade students of SD Permata Nusantara, Nongsa District, it shows that learning is still not meaningful. Students have difficulty understanding the concept, because it is still dominated by teachers who lecture a lot so that students become passive and have an impact on learning outcomes of the concept of the circumference and area of the second semester of the circle is still low. This Classroom Action Research was conducted to improve student learning outcomes about the concept of circumference and the area of a circle in mathematics learning and to describe the increase in learning outcomes of the concept of circumference and circle area in mathematics learning for fifth grade students at SD Permata Nusantara, Nongsa District. This study consisted of two cycles, each of which carried out the planning, action, observation and reflection stages. The subjects of the action were the fifth grade students of SD Permata Nusantara, Nongsa District, totaling 34 people consisting of 16 boys and 18 girls. The results of the study are stated as follows: 1) that the make a match method that is applied can be done in a fun, effective atmosphere, motivates students to be actively involved, helps students understand concepts and makes learning meaningful. 2) that applying the make a match method is proven to improve student learning outcomes about the circumference and area of the fifth grade SD Permata Nusantara SD Nongsa District. In this study, the researcher used two data collection tables, namely qualitative and quantitative data, which were then compared to the total results before and after using the make a match method. The results showed that there was an increase in student learning outcomes using the make a match method.
